Code in Place is a community service project put on by a large group of volunteers. Together we are trying to build a course that can provide a chance to teach for thousands, a chance to learn computer science for many more, and inspiration for a new way to scale high quality education.
What makes Code in Place so fun? We'd say section leaders do. The people in charge of making sure section leaders give the enjoyable experience every student deserves are none other than our Head TAs. They are in charge of making the learning experience fun and approachable.
Code in Place is a global program and that means we interact with people from all over the world. As an effort to become truly global, we picked a cohort of ambassadors to help us outreach into more areas of the world. The official list of ambassadors for Code in Place 5 is:

CS106A is one of most popular courses at Stanford University, taken by almost 1,600 students every year. It has been developed over the last 30 years by an amazing team, including Nick Parlante, Eric Roberts and more. In the last 8 years, CS106A has been adapted to be taught as a community service project through CS-Bridge. Code in Place teaches the first half of CS106A and continues in the spirit of CSBridge. We would especially like to than John Mitchell, Jennifer Widom and Nick McKeown for their support and inspiration.
Code in Place used several wonderful tools. We would like to especially thank EdStem, a fantastic discussion forum, and online IDE that was a central part of the Code in Place experience in 2020 and 2021. It is one of the best online discussion forms and learning platforms in the world. Check it out! We would also like to thank OhYay for hosting our wonderful section video-conference experience in 2021.
